"Runnin' With the Devil" is the eleventh episode of the Lazarus original Japanese anime series.
Synopsis[]
Doug and Eleina go to Islamabad seeking the elusive hacker but are pursued by INSCOM. Meanwhile, Axel gets into a chaotic fight with the assassin.[1]
Summary[]
Dr. Linderman meets the head of I.S.C.O.M. to demand that they stop sending their men after Doug and Eleina in Pakistan, otherwise she shall reveal their illegal experiments on all the death row inmates who perished to the public, all but Axel.
Elsewhere, Axel is battling for his life against the Chinese phantom assassin I.S.C.O.M. sent to terminate him as the only surviving subject of said experiments. Christine goes off on her motorcycle to return the favor to Axel. During the fight, Axel's wing-shaped necklace triggers suppressed memories in his assailant of being constantly abused and tortured since boyhood. At the end of the fight, Axel is run through with a spear, fatally wounding him.
